![]() It is with great sadness that we report the loss of one of our fellow comrades today. Comrade Charles I. Kennedy passed away at approximately 1000 hours this morning. He was inducted into the Army at Maxwell Air Force Base on March 25, 1952 and served in the US Army 25th Infantry Division, 27th Infantry Regiment, Company L, 3rd Platoon until February 17, 1954. He enjoyed the students at Newnan High School Student-Vet Connect, helping out at the golf tournament and supporting the Coweta Veterans Club. Thank you for your service to our country as well as our organizations and activities. He was definitely a proud veteran. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Mr. Charles. Mr Charles memorial service will be at McKoon Funeral Home on Jackson St, Newnan on Monday, July 20th at 4:00 pm. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Coweta Veterans Club, 501c19 @ paypal.me/CVCNewnan. Our goal was to make sure our members and local veterans weren't sitting at home alone on this traditionally family-oriented holiday. We had a great time taking care of each other. If you missed it this year, plan to be here next.

Our annual golf tournament to raise funds for the Club. We offer a huge thank-you to all the sponsors, workers, and participants.
At this month's VFW meeting we recognized those veterans 80 and over in our midst. The two with their hands up are over 90! You guys led the way, now it's time for us to step up and take the reins of the Coweta Veterans Club. Thank-you!
The Quilts of Valor, who the CVC hosts for their monthly "Sew-cials" in our Hall, held their annual fish fry fundraiser. CVC members volunteered to setup, cook, and generally help out. Surprise, some members even got presented their own Quilt in the ceremony. Thanks to all who supported this worthy activity!
